Australia Post letter rates change 4 January 2016

On 4 January 2016, Australia Post are changing their letter rate system substantially:
- standard letter rates will be two days slower than now, and stamp prices will increase from 70c to $1 per stamp
- a new priority letter rate will be introduced that will have the same letter delivery times as today, but stamps will be at a premium price.
Ozcart's letter rate calculator for customers on the v3 and v4 platforms will be updated on this date as follows:
- items set up as letters in your system now will become the new slower standard service
- a priority letter rate option will be added to the cart for you to choose if you wish to offer this option to your customers - you will need to set it up in admin.
We are working as quickly as we can to prepare updated shipping price components to price your letter rates appropriately will aim to roll this out to sites as quickly as possible after the new rates take effect but this may not be immediate.
