Stock statuses allow you set a message on the products availability. e.g. Pre-Oder
To add a stock status to your product go to the menu Products > View Products > Once clicked on this will display all products available in your store.
To edit a product click on the "pencil icon" on the top right hand side of your screen. Click on the tab Specifics.
Scroll down to the section " and add your products status.
