Note: We believe that Google has begun charging for using a Google Maps API key. They allow a certain quota for free and then you must enter your billing information to proceed. It may be best to use one of the following solutions instead:
- An iFrame.
- Embedding a map directly from Google Maps.
- Add an screenshot of the map, which is not interactive.
- Or, simply entering your address in Ozcart's contact page without having a map. You can hide the map on the page where you edit the key.
The map on your Contact Page requires a Google Maps API Key to operate correctly.
Here is how to find your key. To create your API key:
- Visit the APIs Console at https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/ and log in with your Google Account.
- Click on the Library link to enter API Library section.
- Choose Google Maps JavaScript API.
- Enable it and proceed with the instructions there.
- Click on the Credentials or the Keys & Credentials tab, whichever one appears.
- Click API key from the Create credentials dropdown at the top.
- Choose Browser key from the popup menu, if it appears. Otherwise, select Websites from the application restriction section.
- Give your key a reference name, and enter your domain name *.yourdomainname.com.au/* where yourdomainname.com.au is your actual website domain name.
- Get your API key and then add it in Design > Theme Settings > Pages > Contact.
