(V5) Product Tabs Print

  • 0

Product tabs are helpful tabs that appear on product pages where the description and reviews tabs are.

There are a few types of tabs that you can add to product pages:

  • A storewide tab that displays on every product, regardless of its type and who is allowed to see it. You can, however, set it up so that it ignores certain products.
  • A product specific tab that only displays for the product(s) concerned.
  • A category specific tab that only displays for the products in the chosen category(ies).
  • A brand specific tab that only displays for the products in the chosen brand(s).

No matter which option you choose, you can add products to the 'Ignore selected products' section, found in the Specifics tab, to prevent the product tab from showing on those product pages.

The steps below will help you set up product tabs.

For both options below, to access Product Tabs, in your Ozcart admin area, navigate to Products > Product Tabs.
For both options below, you can add a sort order in the Specifics tab, which will designate the order of the tabs on your product page.

  2. Enter a tab name and content. This is the name and content that will show up on your product page.
  3. Click on the Specifics tab.
  4. Check the checkbox for 'Assign to all products'.
  5. If you want to prevent this from showing on certain product pages, enter those products in the 'Ignore selected products' section.
  6. Make sure the status is set to 'Enabled'.
  7. Save.

  5. Enter your Products, Categories, Brands. You can mix them all and have your product tab show up only where you want it to.

  8. Save.

If you want to add a contact form in a product tab, read our how to add a form in a product tab article.

You can then proceed and create as many Product Tabs as you want and add any information in there, e.g., shipping details.

We hope you enjoy this feature!
