(V5) CAPTCHAs and reCAPTCHA Print

In this article, we will explain how to set up, display, and disable the 3 different types of CAPTCHAs that Ozcart offers.

Basic CAPTCHA

This one is similar to Standard CAPTCHA but it doesn't look as modern. It does, however, have cleaner characters, making it easier for your visitors to use.

1. Navigate to Store Settings > CAPTCHAs.
2. Enable and edit Basic CAPTCHA.
3. Set the Status to 'Enabled'.
4. Save.
5. Navigate to Store Settings >General Settings > Options and expand the CAPTCHA section.
6. Choose Basic CAPTCHA from the dropdown menu next to Default CAPTCHA.
7. Save.

Google reCAPTCHA

This is the easiest to use and most modern looking CAPTCHA. Your visitors only have to tick a box to prove that they are not bots.

1. Navigate to Store Settings > CAPTCHAs.
2. Enable and edit Google reCAPTCHA.
3. If you do not have your keys for reCAPTCHA, go to the Google reCAPTCHA page and register your website. Make sure to choose Google reCAPTCHA v2 and not v3.
4. Then, add the Site Key and Secret Key to their relevant fields.
5. Set the Status to 'Enabled'.
6. Save.
7. Navigate to Store Settings >General Settings > Options and expand the CAPTCHA section.
8. Choose Google reCAPTCHA from the dropdown menu next to 'Default CAPTCHA'.
9. Save.

Standard CAPTCHA

This is the default CAPTCHA used in Ozcart. It may already be set up in your admin area.

1. Navigate to Store Settings > CAPTCHAs.
2. Enable and edit Standard CAPTCHA.
3. Set the Status to 'Enabled'.
4. Save.
5. Navigate to Store Settings >General Settings > Options and expand the CAPTCHA section.
6. Choose Standard CAPTCHA from the dropdown menu next to 'Default CAPTCHA'.
7. Save.

Display CAPTCHA in all or certain forms

You can choose where you want CAPTCHA to appear.

1. Navigate to Store Settings >General Settings > Options and expand the CAPTCHA section.
2. Next to 'Display CAPTCHA on', you can tick the box(es) where you want your chosen CAPTCHA to appear.
3. Save.

Disable CAPTCHA in all or certain forms

You can choose where you want CAPTCHA to be disabled.

1. Navigate to Store Settings >General Settings > Options and expand the CAPTCHA section.
2. Next to 'Display CAPTCHA on', you can untick the box(es) where you want CAPTCHA to be disabled.
3. Save.
4. You can also disable all CAPTCHAs by navigating to Store Settings > CAPTCHAs and deactivating all CAPTCHAs on this page.
